Cellphone calculator goes online

p2pnet news view P2P | Politics:- The prayers of the Liberals have been answered!

Well, kind of.

The federal government should re-instate the online cell phone calculator “to provide greater transparency for Canadians,” they said in a recent statement.

And today we learn Bell is one day ahead pf Telus with the launch of its new super-swift wireless network!

Hubba Hubba!

After blowing $1.4 million on an online calculator meant to help consumers select their ideal wireless plan, “Industry Minister Tony Clement killed the project weeks before it was scheduled to launch,” p2pnet quoted Michael Geist as saying recently, going on, “Government records suggest intense lobbying this spring by Canada’s wireless companies, who feared the service would promote lower cost plans, played a key role in the decision.”

Now, “Cellphoneratecalculator.com was created by bunch of people from globalcommunityhub and einfiniteweb who passionately believe in helping and empowering communities through their puffed-up ideas”,  says Cellphoneratecalculator.com passionately, noting:

“This site was created after reading a news article at cbc.ca about failed cellphoneratecalculator tool development project.”

This tool will help consumers to save time and money by comparing multiple cellphone plans from multiple cellphone service providers.

The calculator will suggest an example of Canadian cellphone plans which may match your needs. It has information on available plans. You can also rate and write review of individual plans, submit price correction, sign-up for plan renewal alert and submit favourite charity to include in our list of charities.

We allow the consumers to use the tool for free but we encourage the consumers to “pay-it-forward” and make a contribution to charitable organizations if they are satisfied with using our tool.

Here’s the FAQ.
