Miley Cyrus ‘worst celebrity influence of 2009′
p2pnet news view TV | Movies:- Disney’s Miley Cyrus has been voted the worst celebrity influence of 2009.
And the votes, says Reuters, “came from the very people who made her a star, tweens and teens”.
“Cyrus, 16, took 42 percent of votes in the poll for AOL’s JSYK.com (Just So You Know) website aimed at 9-15 year-olds, pushing Britney Spears and rapper Kanye West into second and third places, respectively, in a section on worst celebrity influences of the year,” it says, going on:
“No reasons were given for the poor showing of the singer-actress and the popular star of Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” television series.
“But the ranking follows a year which has seen Cyrus controversially dating a 20 year-old model, making ’slant eyes’ in an informal snapshot criticized as mocking Asians, and being accused of pole-dancing on a teen awards show.”
Elsewhere, the story adds, “the stars of vampire movies ‘Twilight’ and its forthcoming sequel ‘New Moon’ dominated the JSYK.com poll.”

Now I’m disappointed. I was all set to see Miley grinding away on a pole and she only does one semi “pole dancing” move where she squats down. You can’t even see it properly because the cameraman chooses that exact instance to go in for a closeup. The rest of the time, she’s just hanging onto the pole as the ice cream cart is wheeled across the stage.

I don’t know what to say other than people will be people. I happen to be a friend of Miley’s and regardless, will still remain. Also Miley has stated
pubic ally that if she was to be compared to Brittany Spears as that famous and whatnot, it would be a dream come true.

If she wants to be as famous as Britney, she could start by wearing short skirts with no underwear in public, then move up to getting drunk at nightclubs and swapping clothes with random people she just met. Of course, if she really wants to be compared to Britney, she needs to marry a loser, squeeze out a couple kids, do a bunch of drugs, have an affair with a photographer, then go crazy and shave her head.
Tell her to start with crotch-flashing and she can see how it goes from there…

I completely understand why some would see her as a poor role model …
First, I don’t think much of her ‘talent’, but that has little to do with this propoganda piece.
She spoke out openly in support of gays, and gay marriage.
She has said openly that performing will not be the whole of her life and she has other plans.
In spite of her ( my opinion ) lack of real talent, for the most part she has sounded compassionate,
and surprisingly smart. ( I know, take me out behind the barn and shoot me ). As a person, she
sounds exactly like someone the religious right would fear as a role model, she speaks her mind,
so this makes sense.

Ok, this is all stuff in MY opinion. It’s nothing you should believe, or if you agree… whatever. I think Miley is a really bad role model. I was all: “OMG! There’s a new TV show on Disney channel!” And then later it went too far. She has pictures of herself nude? She’s dating a 20-year-old? AND NOW? She was caught pole dancing at A TEEN’S AWARD THINGYMAJIGGER!!!
I slightly like the songs, but not the stupid ones like “Start All Over.” (Is that what it’s called?) I ESPECIALLY HATE HER RAP! Well, at least she quit Twitter… I think of that as a good thing. Now people won’t follow her or whatever. I betcha she gets 1,000,000 messages a day saying: “omg im ur biggest fan i luv ur songs can i hav free tickets for concert?” So… good for her for that one.
Speaking of her rap, as I said earlier, Jimmy Fallon made a hilarious parody to it. He was pretending to be Billy Ray Cyrus, and made another version of the rap. But this Cyrus is no “Twitter-Quitter!”

ok, so she might of made a few bad decisions but still it dont mean shes not human! shes just a person like the rest of us! she dont deserve this, and who cares if shes freaking dating a 20 year old! age is just a number, what matters is what they think of each other, i think people should just lay aside, she is getting older and i think the a lot of y’all have done a lot worse things in your late teens. so why attack her? even though we all see her as a role model for “us” the people, but that doesn’t mean she cant have a life of her own, she’s just like all of us, we make mistakes, but that just means that were human, so is she.
