Outrage at ‘Kill JFK’ video game
p2pnet.net News:- The world is reeling in shock and horror because a UK company is trying to get rich on a video game called JFK: Reloaded.
“You are about to take part in the world’s first interactive reconstruction of John F. Kennedy’s assassination,” says the intro page.
Glasgow-based firm Traffic Games is offering up to $100,000 in a ‘kill Kennedy again’ contest.
“To win the competition, you need to most closely match the shots taken by Lee Harvey Oswald, as concluded in the Warren Commission Report on the assassination of JFK,” says the site..
“Accuracy of your shots (in terms of trajectory and timing) will be judged purely by the JFK Reloaded server, which is programmed to audit each shot for timing and injuries, and thereby arrive at a total score. The higher the total, the closer you are to Lee Harvey Oswald’s actions – and thereby the more clearly you prove that Lee Harvey Oswald had the means and the opportunity to commit the crime.
“Your shots will need to have exactly the same timing and cause exactly the same damage as the shots described in the Warren Commission Report in order to score the maximum possible total.”
Bloody, brutal video games glamourizing crime and with distinctly sexual undertones are where it’s at. So what’s the problem with a scenario that centres on an infamous historical event, in this case, Kennedy’s assassination?
Take-Two’s Rockstar Grand Theft Auto games are doing well – really well – and they make the JFK killing look like a parlour game.
“After right-clicking to zoom to rifle-scope view, you can more easily track your target. Note that due to the realistic bullet physics in JFK Reloaded, you must aim like a real sniper: this means you should aim a little high to compensate for the bullet-drop as it travels over long distances, and also aim in front of your target if it is moving. Left-click will shoot.”
But why merely ‘pretend’ to kill someone when soon, you’ll be able to kill – really kill – a living creature by pointing and clicking?

And don’t forget to use a magic bullet if you want to produce the wounds of Kennedy with Lee Harvey Oswald as the sole shooter.
Better yet, have two or more shooters from the front of the vehicule, that might work better than a magic bullet anyway.
