Virgin Mary on Toast gets $28K

p2pnet.net OT News:- Remember the Virgin Mary on Toast?

Ten years ago Diana Duyser burned her grilled cheese sandwich 10 years ago. She thought the result looked like the Virgin Mary so she put it in a plastic box, “nestled it among cotton balls and kept it on a shelf,” says Newsday.

“Over the years, she said, the sandwich has miraculously never decayed.

“It doesn’t fall apart or crumble or anything.”

Yes. Well ….

Anyway, Duyser decided to auction it on eBay with a starting price of $3,000.

And it netted her $28,000 !!!

It appears that Ms. Duyser got what she was after…money. It was discovered (unfortunately the media didn’t post it, though they knew about it) that Ms. Duyser has a 2nd Ebay ID of “dltdesigns” on top of the ID she sold the sandwich under, “dltdesigns2002″. What a shame that 10 people under her “dltdesigns” account state that she took their money and never sent their merchandise. Doesn’t seem right, does it? I mean, she won all that money from Casinos, yet still had a need to scam people out of money anyway. What a Christian thing to do. And shame on the media for not getting that out before the auction ended.

Some people are just plain stupid.

What kind of Jesus freak spends $28k on a piece of toast when they
could use the money to do some good in the world. Like feeding the
    homeless toast for instance.

The fact that it survived 10yrs is nothing special since pretty much
anything dry can keep for many years, crackers for instance.

I wonder if it still tastes good??

Diana Duyser (Ebay ID dltdesigns2002) has a new scam going. She’s trying to auction the, as she herself calls it, “Holy Pan” that she grilled the Virgin Mary sandwich in (Ebay auction 5574030908 ). The auction is a re-listing because the pan didn’t sell the first two times she listed it. And I would suspect from the ID of the top bidder on this new auction that it’s a fake bid as well. I certainly hope so …con artist Duyser’s 15 minutes needs to be over NOW.
