NYPD Blue actor p2p pirate?
p2pnet.net News:- Carmine Caridi, a 70-year-old character actor and member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, has been ordered to pay Warner Bros a total of $300,000 for providing copies of The Last Samurai and Mystic River to Russell Sprague, 51, who then put them on the p2p nets.
Caridi told the FBI he hadn’t received any money for the screeners, said the Hollywood Reporter in January, going on, “Caridi said that he thought Sprague was a film buff and had no knowledge that Sprague had duplicated the tapes.”
The story also quotes FBI spokeswoman Laura Bosley as saying, “Mr. Caridi has not been charged with anything But the investigation is continuing, and additional arrests have not been ruled out.”
Now the entertainment industry pigeons have come home to roost and on top of being expelled by the Academy, Caridi – who appeared in various episodes of NYPD Blue as detective Vince Gotelli, among other roles, is now definitely permanently persona non grata as far as the seven major studios are concerned.
