I really wondered why after seeing eMule kademlia and gnutella, we've got BitTorrent with the trackers and other stuff centralized.

But now we are back at using The Grid.

Another check to the entertainment kartels, and I am willing to get them to a checkmate.

Today marks the end of an era, as The Pirate Bay team announces that the world’s largest BitTorrent tracker is shutting down for good. Although the site will remain operational for now, millions of BitTorrent users will lose the use of its tracker and will instead have to rely on DHT and alternative trackers to continue downloading.

Mr. Gates couldn't have had a good opinion of Mr. Jobs when Mr. Jobs turned down Microsoft BASIC as the official standard for the Apple II, preferring to go with Applesoft BASIC. Gates ended up releasing it seperately, where it was perceived as unnecessary by everyone except people who understood compiling.
