p2pnet Twitter account hijacked
p2pnet news view P2P:- ” … your account may have been hijacked,” says Holly D. “I got a DM to a nasty url from ‘you’ not too long ago.”
Sorry about that, Holly. Unfortunately, you’re not alone.
From the look of it, everyone who’s following me on Twitter got this message, “hey, is this you on here? check it… http://dwarfurl.com/baf448″.
Or “hah, you look funny in this video”.
Or “LOL.. you look funny here…”
Or variations thereof, and all with the same url.
But it wasn’t me and I apologise for spamming you without knowing it.
Was it a phishing scam? No idea. Today, when I went to see what was on the other end of the URL, it was being blocked by Firefox.
Twitter, with its many thousands of users, is an obvious target for scammers and spammers, and it’s only going to get worse.
Something similar happened a while back and according to Twitter, it was nothing to be worried about.
(Cheers Holly, Cam, Ray and everyone else who told me about this)
If p2pnet has value for you, please help me keep it online. Cheers! And thanks : )
