New Sony mp3 HD player
p2pnet.net News:- What’s the difference between Sony’s NW-HD3 and NW-HD2 (NW = Network Walkman)?
Version three plays mp3s whereas version two doesn’t.
Otherwise, they’re pretty much the same – 30-hour battery life, 20gig hard drive, SonicStage software. And it supports ANTRAC3plus, of course.
NW-HD1 and NW-HD2 owners can get added mp3 support for about $20, says IDG News Service, going on that Sony will sell the NW-HD3 for about $470, plus the price of the upgrade.
“Sony also announced it will simultaneously put on sale a flash-memory based music player in Japan,” it adds. “The NW-E99 also supports ATRAC3plus and MP3 and has a capacity of 1G byte.”

It took Sony until version 3 to realize their digital audio player should play the ubiquitous mp3 format? Clueless.
