p2pnet Twitter hack attack: III

p2pnet news view P2P:- Hi all: I have to apologise once again  to people who follow me on Twitter.

My account there has been hacked three times, now. It’s being used to spam a bunch of junk and although I have a pretty good idea who’s behind it, I can’t prove it.

There’s a good side to this, though. I’ve met two people whom I’m glad to know — JavaWoman and Bob J.

To JavaWoman, it definitely isn’t a keylogger. But it probaby was a weak password. I’ll get back to you later on other things. Thanks.

Why would anybody bother to hack the account in the first place?

I’ve been getting a lot of flak, lately,  because of my involvement with a2f2a.com and, more recently, because of my efforts raise funds to keep p2pnet online, which’ve been called begging at one end of the scale,  and a scam to get money when I don’t need it, at the other.

On a2f2a.com, one of the reasons and corporate music industry has been so successful with its sue ‘em all campaign is because it’s succeeded in driving a wedge between artists and their public. a2f2a.com obectives include promoting open and constructive discussions between the two groups, and helping to find ways P2P can be used by the former to pay the latter, one-on-one, in effect.

I’ve said all I want to say on my fund-raising efforts here.

So, sorry about the spam, tweeters. Hopefully, it’s now been resolved, but if it hasn’t, it will be, and soon.

Cheers! And all the best …
Jon
