Fawlty Towers up for sale
p2pnet.net OT News:- One of the funniest British comedies ever was the BBC’s Fawlty Towers.
John Cleese was demented hotel owner Basil Fawlty and the series was based on the Hotel Gleneagles, in Torquay, Devon.
There was a move afoot to knock down the three-star hotel down to make way for 25 luxury flats, says the Beeb.
However, that failed and Gleneagles is on the market for a trifling £1.5m (almost $3M).
That’d be a pittance in a movie budget. Maybe we’ll see Fawlty Towers – the Movie.
Would Cleese still play Basil?
