AOL ’snarls’ IM accounts
p2pnet.net News:- AOL has deactivated a number of AOL Instant Messenger accounts.
But it’s all a big mistake, says the company.
“AOL, whose instant messaging service is among the most widely used worldwide, had begun releasing screen names that had gone unused when it snarled the accounts of some active users in the process,” an AOL spokeswoman told eWEEK.com.
AOL says it’s working to restore the accounts by Monday, states the report.
