Radio Jayhaed goes off the air
p2pnet news view | Radio:- MIX 91.9 FM, a pirate station run by George Saadé and his 14-year-old son, Jayhaed, in Ottawa, went down yesterday morning.
Industry Canada “confirmed it had ordered Saadé to stop broadcasting after receiving complaints about it,” says the CBC.
Saadé “installed a sound processor to improve the clarity of his signal and bought a radio-data system that displays the name of the song that’s playing,” sasys the story, adding:
“He mounted an antenna on the roof and some listeners reported being able to hear Saadé’s station from 20 kilometres away.”
Saadé says he’s applied for a licence.
