White House, Big Music, Hollywood bullshit-fest
p2pnet news view Politics | Music| Movies:- In case you ever doubted who’s really running America, Hollywood vice president Joe Biden (right) is “leading a roundtable on Tuesday” with “Hollywood CEOs, music industry execs and legal experts in what is being billed as a first-of-its-kind discussion on piracy,” says Wilshire and Washington.
Leading? heh
He’ll be “joined by Attorney General Eric Holder, Homland [sic] Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, FBI director Robert Mueller and Secret Service director Mark Sullivan,” says the story, adding:
“Among those expected are Sony’s Michael Lynton, Warner Bros.’ Barry Meyer, Viacom’s Philippe Dauman, NBC Universal’s Jeffrey Zucker, Warner Music Group’s Edgar Bronfman, Harper Collins CEO Brian Murray, Universal Music Group’s Zachary Horowitz, the MPAA’s Dan Glickman, the RIAA’s Mitch Bainwol, IATSE’s international president Matthew Leob, AFTRA’S Kim Roberts Hedgepeth, DGA president Taylor Hackford, DGA exec director Jay Roth and SAG’s David White.”
Also present will be the administration’s new “copyright czar,” Victoria Espinel.
All in one place, eh ?!

Good!
It’ll only take 1 well-placed bomb.

@DA We at p2pnet do NOT condone/support or encourage violence.
Instead we hope a few people who visit will have H1N1 and while we hope no one dies, we hope that those at the meeting will become sick and be forced to remain at home, where they can do no more harm to the judicial system or artists or consumers/fans.
At least until we can get real laws passed that are appropriate, based upon fact, and are fair to all.

@Robert
People in this country are too stupid/ignorant to stay home while sick which is why we have a ‘pandemic’. We will now have an anti-piracy ‘pandemic’ in this country so I will continue with staying inside my house, taking extra vitamin D3, staying ‘extra’ high, and using a private VPN. The cats out of the bag and you better believe I will cancel my Netflix and XM scripts in a second if I feel that I lose ANY of my FREEDOMS. First it was $2mil now it’s $30mil so I think things are gonna get very interesting soon.

There is a major difference between issues of theft and counterfeit in the commerce sector versus legitimate use in an educational and personal (non-economic) environment.
YOU STILL FAIL TO MAKE CLEAR THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE CONSTRAINTS, CHOOSING TO SUPPORT ORGANIZED CRIME OVER THE MAJORITY OF THE WORLDS’ POPULATION.
I strongly suggest you fix your policy and approach immediately, this is not the first time I’ve had to call you directly.

Agreed with DA. A well placed bomb there would take care of all those fucking corporate assholes. It will do the planet and our freedoms a GREAT favor.

We dont need bombs or violence we need only embarassing emails.

“We dont need bombs or violence we need only embarassing emails.”
