Sony’s PSP takes on Nintendo

p2pnet.net News:- Sony Computer Entertainment today launched its new PlayStation Portable, PSP, at 20,790 (about $198.00).

The hand-held has full-scale 3D-CG games and view high-resolution video images, says Kyodo News, quoting Sony.

The company shipped 200,000 PSP units across Japan on Sunday and, "plans to start sales of the product overseas as well," says the story, going on:

"Equipped with a wireless LAN feature, PSP enables users to connect to the Internet through access points, making it possible for them to download game characters and content and also to play 21 games on-line with families, friends and on-line community members," says Japan Today.

"The battery runs from four to six hours in game mode and four to five hours in video mode."
