New UK army camo
p2pnet news view | Off Topic:- Britain’s Ministry of Defence believes it’ll soon be harder to see British troops.
A new “Multi-Terrain Pattern (MTP – left) will replace the traditional four colour woodland uniform known as No.8: Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM),” says the BBC, going on, “Forces in Afghanistan will start to get the new uniforms in March next year, with the whole army upgraded by 2011.”
“We’ve realised that Afghanistan is more complex – especially Helmand – than, say Iraq, which was predominantly a desert background or north-west Europe, which was predominantly green,” the story has Lt Col Toby Evans, a military advisor with the Government’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, saying.
“The new camouflage is optimised for all the Afghan background colour sets and in doing so we never reach a point – which we did with the old colours – where it is actually wrong.
“It may not be quite perfect, but its [sic] good enough for everything.”

So guess the brits are not pulling out any time within the next decade if they are going to install afgan uniforms. Guess they plan on making this their new Iran-british empire, which they tried to run (or I should say BP, British Petroleum tried to run with the US back in the Iran days).
I wonder if Canada will honour its pull out date?
