Movie File Share Top Ten
|
p2pnet.net News:- We’ve been running a music File Share Top Ten for some time. It’s based on statistics from p2p research company Big Champagne and gives an excellent idea of what’s happening on the p2p networks - as far as corporate music industry mp3s are concerned, at least. Now, with the MPAA horning in on the RIAA’s action, trying to sue people into doing things the Hollywood way, we thought it would be interesting to see what’s going on with movie downloads. So here, also based on Big Champagne stats, is the Net’s first-ever Movie File Share Top Ten. It’s a one-off for the moment, but we hope to introduce it as a regular weekly feature soon after Christmas, together with a new version of the Music File Share Top Ten. For now, remember - just as mp3s are heavily compressed and, therefore, inferior, low-fidelity copies of high quality CD tracks, digital movies on p2p networks are mostly of equally low quality, although the entertainment industry wants the public at large to believe the files are faithful reproductions of original feature movies.

The premise for that film is so dumb i dont even bother to watch full previews.

Maybe it’s just me, but this seems more interesting than music.
Although the tables do not make for easy reading.
A more condensed approach, maybe with smaller font would allow for an easier comparison.
And Spongebob Squarepants?
Don’t tell me people would have bought that in the store! ;-p
ps: apologies to Spongebob Squarepants fans

Spongebob is great, but unlike the all others this a TS. All others are DVD-rips or DVD screeners. The thing that interests me is that the rips of most of these movies have been out for weeks if not months.
I still take exception that these are referred to a low quality when that is clearly
not the case for most DVD rips and mp3s.

Filesharing my a$$. There should be laws to stop such blatant wastes of bandwidth!!! Go outside and play!!! Or at least watch a REAL film. Cripes what a bunch of crap.
December 28th, 2004 at 1:52 pm
If that happened , your comment would be blocked for waste of bandwidth, pinhead.

We’re paying for that bandwidth you a$$. If you’re paying for broadband to read your email then your as stupid as your comment.
There are plenty of “REAL” films around but they’re not going to be in the
top ten here for the same reason they aren’t in the top ten at the cinema.
