Trojan.Phel.A likes XP
p2pnet.net News:- "Ask IE For Help, Get a Trojan," says the header in a TechTree News story on yet another worm said to be infecting PCs running Windows XP.
Trojan.Phel.A hits systems when users call the Help controls in Internet Explorer, says the story.
Then, "The Trojan spreads as an HTML file and attempts to exploit IE’s HTML Help Control Local Zone Security Restriction Bypass Vulnerability, according to Symantec."
Symantec says, "Trojan.Phel.A is a Trojan horse program, which is distributed as an .html file, and attempts to exploit the Microsoft Internet Explorer HTML Help Control Local Zone Security Restriction Bypass Vulnerability (BID 11467).
"Trojan.Phel.A attempts to infect computers running Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later."
Symantec gives the threat a ‘Low’ rating.
