Another Apple law suit
p2pnet.net News:- Think Secret has scored mucho cyber ink revealing things Apple would rather not have revealed.
But according to CNET News, it’s the latest victim in Apple’s war against people who, well, reveal its secrets.
The company is already after three developers who it says posted an advanced copy of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger to BitTorrent sites in October and December, and now Think Secret has incurred its wrath, says the story, going on:
"The suit, filed Tuesday in the Superior Court of Santa Clara County, Calif., aims to identify who is leaking the information and to get an injunction preventing further release of trade secrets. However, in filing the suit, Apple identifies specific articles that contain trade secrets, indicating that at least parts of those reports are on the mark."
It also adds credibility to Think Secret who’s piece on Apple’s supposed cheapo G4-based iMac apparently got it into trouble.
"[...] when mentioning the report that Apple plans a ‘G4-based iMac without display,’ Apple says the article ‘disclosed numerous confidential details regarding the technical capabilities of Apple’s unreleased computer product as well as Apple’s confidential marketing plans," says CNET.
