p2pnet.net News:- TiVo will introduce a high-resolution digital video recorder and deliver programming over Internet lines to differentiate itself from recording services offered by cable and satellite providers, says Reuters.

The company also said it would, "embrace the CableCARD initiative, which allows televisions to link to digital cable systems without the use of a set-top boxm" says the story, pointing out that TiVo faces "lingering concerns from investors and analysts regarding its subscriber growth".

TiVo said it would launch in early 2006 a cable-ready, high-definition DVR with CableCARD built in, that also includes a cable tuner, says Reuters.
