419-ing is an industry in Nigeria and this latest manifestation is truly sickening.

I get tons of the things. I collected them for quite a while, meaning to do a post. But there were (and still are) so many that of the damned things that I didn’t bother.

In the meanwhile, a ‘new’ p2pnet will be going up under DRUPAL within the next few weeks. ‘AA’ will vanish then, and login/register will be moved too.

But don’t take Anonymous Coward seriously anyway : )

Came across a link to your story via Ask Jeeves and though I had heard about some collecting points and web sites that were attempting to divert appeal funds into their own pockets, I am still appalled at the crass greed of the 419 scammers.

Tony Blair and Gordon Brown talk of cancelling 3rd world debts and providing funds to relieve poverty in Africa: actions such as these of the 419-ers do not encourage me to support them.

P.S. I’m NOT an ‘Anonymous Coward’ – I just got typing a reaction before I found your “register” link. Couldn’t you add a more obvious pointer in the heading rubic ["You're posting as Anonymous. Log in to post as yourself."] or put your “Login/Register” at the top of the page?
