p2pnet.net News:- First Carly (not Simon, Fiorina) and now Craig (not David, Barrett).

Hewlett-Packard boss Fiorina set the pace at last year’s Consumer Electronics Show when she used Jimmy Iovine, chairman of UMG’s Interscope label, U2’s The Edge, and others, to promote HP’s Consumer Control message.

Picking up where Fiorina left off, at this year’s event, Intel chief executive Barrett sang a duet with Aerosmith lead singer Steve Tyler. Only he wasn’t siding with the entertainment industry in its efforts to crush p2p

Rather, “The glitzy rendition of ‘Walk This Way’ by Mr Barrett, 65, who steps down as head of the world’s biggest semiconductor company in May, was part of a software demonstration showing that Intel was still pursuing its own path and championing the PC as the centre of the new digital home,” says the story, going on:

“Mr Barrett will doff the black cowboy hat he wore to sing when he tells investors the same thing on Tuesday at Intel’s fourth-quarter results presentation. His review will cover a year plagued by late shipments and aborted strategies that drove down the bellwether chip stock by 37 per cent in the first nine months.”
