They didn’t need to raid in the middle of the night because they called the owner in for questioning and kept him in jail over lunch. When they went to his house to take his computers and whatever else they chose, they took him in the police car with him. It was about 5:00 in the evening, and it was dark out, since it was winter. I don’t know that things are done so differently in the U.S., but I doubt it would take this long for his case to be prosecuted or dropped in the U.S.

well, it’s good that the mpaa/riaa has finally taken a reasonable stance regarding alledged copyright violations. I’m glad to live in an age when it can be a larger fine for selling cd’s, than it is for selling crack, robbing a bank, or stealing the elderlies’ retirement funds.
