Sell Abbey Road? Help save EMI?

Abbey Road p2pnet view Music:- Macca hopes hopes the Abbey Road studio where the Beatles did much of their recording can be saved.

It’s owned by EMI, on its knees because of a multibillion-dollar debt load, and  may go on the auction block to raise money for the label, a member of the Big 4 organised music gang which has been trying to terrorise music lovers into once again becoming compliant corporate cash cows.

It “could raise £30m for the debt-stricken record company”, says the BBC, going on:

“EMI and its private equity owner Terra Firma have declined to comment.

“It is not known if any sale would see the site continue as a record studios or be converted for another use”.

It has McCartney saying, “There are a few people who have been associated with the studio for a long time who were talking about mounting some bid to save it”.

Macca could, of course, simply put his hand in his pocket and buy it with spare change.

Or the other Big 4 members, Vivendi Universal, Warner Music and Sony Music, could donate their coffee money to purchase Abbey Road for a gang club house.

“Abbey Road Studios still draws Beatles fans from around the world, many of whom pose for photographs on the nearby zebra crossing to imitate the front cover of the Beatles’ last recorded album, Abbey Road”, says the Beeb.

They could put the place on a dialysis machine and it STILL wouldn’t save them from the massive boycott. Let’s keep fighting!
