Personally, I watch Chinese (Mainland, HK, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia), Japanese, and Korean movies and drama — What most North Americans are accustomed to are the “crap” (both Hollywood & Foreign) — but the Internet empowers the people to a better selection.

If you’re interested, look around, go to your local Chinatown and buy some good movies. Unfortunately, as I observe, many people are only familiar with mainstream….

There are always going to be bad ideas that look good on paper, but get to production and suck. It happens. Accept it, shove it aside and move on. Maybe it’ll become a cult classic, ala “Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Don’t whine that instant messaging is making it impossible to make a profit, aka “The Incredible Hulk.” In a connected world, it’s going to be harder to suppress the bad.

It’s too bad that Hollywood seems to be concentrating more on making the world believe they are in terrible pain from the money loss they suffer as a result of fileshare services. I’d love to be “losing” that much money at my job!

Hollywood’s still making artificial worlds for the masses. It’s what they do. It’s just that world is now one where Hollywood is the poor little old lady victimized by the evil land-baron consumer.

Bite my *** Hollywood. I went to see my last first run release 3 months ago. You won’t get anymore of my dollars. Now, the local, independant that shows the art films, well, I think I’ll be checking you a little more often.
