Jon, and everyone else should know if they don’t…. Warez operates on the shame network as Ares. It has so many users because of the good ares client. The Ares developer licences the technology out to this “Warez” outfit. Why use it when Ares is the same thing 3rd party (spyware/adware) free.

It only reinforces the lies and superstitions disseminated by the RIAA and MPAA that “p2p=piracy”.

Warez also has done nothing for themselves, and the Ares version is much cleaner.

Originally Warez was a clone of Ares but it has its own developement team now, so Warez is slowly developing seperately from Ares.
Both Ares and Warez have optional spyware in the installer, but Warez also has an ad inside the program which Ares doesn’t.
Though I’m a little bit pissed off with the Warez guys for taking all the credit for the Ares network and the Warez client when in reality they have alot to thank Ares for.

I dont think they are trying to take credit for ares network, i think they are just fed up of being branded as the adware version, they are both pretty much equal in that respect. Also ive noticed the changes warez are making benefit the whole network, so let them do it. They also brought a huge amount of users to their network, so we shouldnt quesiton that!! Ive also heard great things about their new v3 release, apparently its going places!!

I know what your saying with the warez name, but hell i came across ogg.com the other day (open source audio format) and it went to a Green house Garden site lol. GG, so i dont think a name means much in court or any other realm. More like a way to get traffic which seems to work!
