p2pnet view P2P:- I’ve been getting a lot of weird Twitter tweets, lately, ie, “Is this you?”, from someone I know.

But it led to a porn site, if I remember correctly.  And I’m still getting the same message from other Twitter people who follow me.

Then this morning, from Seth Johnson, “Hey, i’ve been having better sex and longer with this here … ”

Oh really, Seth?

It’s obviously yet another Twitter scam, of which there are legion, but Seth is in good company.

“Ed Miliband has become the latest victim of a new ‘phishing’ scam on Twitter”, says the Telegraph.

He’s Britain’s energy secretary and many of his Twitter 6,664 followers “received an unusually personal message from him around breakfast time”, says the story. It was:

“Hhey [sic], i’ve been having better sex and longer with this here” alongside a picture of a “smiling Mr Miliband”.

And yesterday, “Leader of the Commons Harriet Harman told MPs that her account had without her knowledge sent a tweet to a surprised shadow prisons minister Alan Duncan”, the story adds.

Twitter minions will no doubt take care of this particular scam promptly.

Others it will ignore — unless similarly prominent people are targeted.
