Napster II goes to the movies
p2pnet.net News:- Napster II’s latest effort to become something online involves "moving into films and video games," says Britain’s Financial Times.
"Chris Gorog, Napster chairman and chief executive, said the US-listed group could apply its online music model to films, TV programming and other video content – allowing users to sample and access content over the web."
This will apparently, "threaten traditional film distributors by exploiting high-speed internet and wireless systems".
"We are currently considering moving into video, particularly to tap the younger video game generation," Gorog is quoted as saying at, "the fringes of the Midem music industry conference in Cannes".
Will the major movie studios’ MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) soon be on Gorog’s case, do you think?

It’s about time someone went ahead and offered tv shows and the like online. For a price that is.
