2nd Firefox hacker joins Google
p2pnet.net News:- What the mainstream media did for Apple they can also do for Firefox, the browser that’s taking the world by storm in a manner reminiscent of the way in which iPod came to rule.
What’s currently fueling the headlines is the defection of a second Firefox leading light to Google.
Ben Goodger’s move to Google caught the attention of the world media, and now so it’s appropriate that Google news is jam-packed with headlines on the subject.
“More Mozilla talent Google’s way,” says ZDNet. “Google is gobbling up talent from the Mozilla Foundation, creators.”
“Google Hires Second Firefox Coder,” says Information Week. “On the heels of Firefox’s lead engineer Ben Goodger moving to Google, a second Firefox developer has announced he’s also moving over there.”
Under discussion is fellow Mozilla hacker Darin Fisher.
“Following on the heals of Ben’s annoucement yesterday, I thought I’d post that I have joined Google as well.” Says Fisher.
“Like Ben, I will still be very much involved with the Mozilla project and community
”
Darin once worked for IBM as a Mozilla developer, and before that, for Netscape.
“He mainly works on networking, NSPR (a cross-platform layer for operating system functions like memory allocation and file input/output) and projects like the forthcoming XulRunner,” says mozillaZine..
