Bill Gates on the MS Empire

p2pnet.net News:- “Digital rights management. Are you sure that you are not worried that it could trip you up?”

That’s the BBC’s Stephen Cole listening to Microsoft boss Bill Gates.

The latter’s response?

“Well certainly, you want the convenience and yet you want people who create things to have some ability to be able to charge for those things. And we feel very good about the dialogue we have had for many years with the content industries.

“How we have struck the right balance there and that is why you see an explosion in digital music.”

So Bill and the Boyz are responsible.

Now you know.

Bill was explaing about the “digital lifestyle” and how his Media Center PC is going to be where it’s at and how, “Whether it’s a phone, a music player, audio receiver and we have an increasing number of partnerships.”

Sing the above to the tune of When I rule the World.

“[...] we are up to literally hundreds of hundreds of partners who are building things that connect in with the Windows ecosystem and particularly the high end of that which is Media Center.”

One Response to “Bill Gates on the MS Empire”

  1. Reader's Write Says:

Wow.. this reminds me of that whole ‘market share” economic philosophy which typpified the .com bubble.

think of this as the “drm” bubble. Eventually reality will dawn on these airheads, theyll realize DRM was a cock and bull story sold to them by hollywood and some greedy software sellouts, and then the market will go into recession.
