‘Save Disney’ web site
Do you care – like, really care – about the welfare of The Walt Disney Company and its future direction?
You do? Then you’ll want to head on over to the deeply moving Save Disney site where Roy Disney and Stan Gold are looking for help “to restore Disney to its position as the preeminent entertainment company in the world”.
Apparently, “this wonderful Company founded by my father and uncle more than 80 years ago whose sole motivation was to provide lasting and wholesome entertainment to people around the world”.
Scrooge McDuck is a famous Disney character and he’s a perfect example of the company’s caring attitude.
In fact, Disney recently took Scrooge to new heights when it decided it didn’t want to give a share of its profits from the new Peter Pan movie to the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London, England. So it’s pulled out of the production.
So shame on anyone who says the Disney/Gold appeal is totally Mickey Mouse.

I have worked in the television industry for 35 years now. My company was taken over by the Disney Organization. Once they took over the “family” atmosphere went out the window. In the last few years Eisner has done his best to kill this company and it’s people. Morale is at it’s lowest. He’s heading in the wrong direction, but no one can stop him. God help us all

Without an in-house animation studio Disney is in danger of becoming a hollow company lacking the ability to create its own product. This leaves Disney without a distinctive creative look. Worst Disney is now completely reliant on outside studios for its animation output. This is where the term “hollow’ comes into play. Eisner has also put Pixar studio in the drivers seat. Steve Jobs in no fool and knows he now holds all the cards for Disney’s future animation projects. Jobs ego may even be bigger than Eisners. Good luck with Jobs Eisner, your company’s future now rests with Pixar.
If you don’t think Jobs is hard to deal with just ask Bill Gates and Larry Ellison. Jobs is not the second most powerful person in the PC industry for nothing.
I find it sad that Disney can no longer produce its own cartoons. Even in the 70’s Disney could at least produce it own cartoon features. Disney is in danger of becoming the Walmart of animation in that they will just be in the game of distributing other company’s cartoons.

It spreads like cancer.
Have you seen the shit on the Disney channel. Walt Disney is rolling in his frozen chamber.
Only Jobs can stop Eisner now. Jobs may even go to Warner Brothers; leaving Disney with nothing.
POS company

Disney is fucked.

This is insane!
January 20th, 2004 at 1:14 am
It is insane for sure. Disney is becoming a second rate Hollywood power. Why do they make those awful teenage sitcoms.
Micky needs an enema.
January 20th, 2004 at 1:18 am
Disney is fucked. Soon they won’t even be able to animate a 5 minute short.
The spark is dead. Only Jobs can save Disney now. Lets Jobs run Disney.
What a fucking disgrace.
Disney is utter crap.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
January 20th, 2004 at 1:22 am
This may explain why Disney sitcoms are so shitty.
As Steve Jobs would say the company has no taste.
What crap.
They have assassinated Micky Mouse.
Eisner is the evil witch in Snow White.

Went into the “Disney Store” the other day. the one in Downtown Disney Orlando. I saw a toy on the shelf and asked the “cast member” where they were in the store. I was told that they were sorry, but this item was no longer sold and had forgotten to remove the display. I asked if it was possible to then buy the display for my disabled son, despite eisner, he cannot be swayed
from MICKEY.
The cast member took the toy off the self, went to the backroom, cleaned the dust off, put the toy in a plastic bag and said, thankyou very much!
This I believe is, the true spirit of Walt Disney.
Some thing that Michael Eisner has forgotten or sadly may never have known.

No…, Eisner took a dump on Micky, and he wouldn’t even clean it off. The magic kingdom has become the excrement kingdom.
I will never again buy a Disney product. They suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The disney company destroys the essence of everything it touches. The shows and movies are just labatomized entertainment with no essence or life. If your going to portray yourself as a wholesome family company then stay that way. There is nothing wrong with innocent clean entertainment but when a company just uses that as an excuse not to lose its main demographic then it all comes down to money. The characters on any disney show or cartoon are the most obnoxious characters I have ever seen, it is like a half assed attempt to be a smart ass or cruel, either be innocent and with wholesome family content or NOT! Be one or the other because then it is just plain aggravating as hell! Not to mention disney supports violence and even snuff films in other countries where people do not know better about the company. Disney is all about money and that is it. As for as video games are concerned, they came a long way the games now, whether they are violent or not, the writers and developers make it an art. Any gamer would know what I am talking about the games are just plain breathtaking because of the time and necessary passion that is needed to create them and one video company claims to be what they are not, like Disney. Now disney wants to go through, and already has with some, acquisitions with video game companies it is my biggest fear that disney wants to leave its element to enter the video game entertainment industry. I know the big guns in the business will never merge but disney itself is like a cancer and they turn art into manufactered garbage just for money, they need to be stopped I really do hate the disney company. Why cant they just stick to cartoons, I hope company falls flat on its face one day and just disappears, I whole heartedly do. I really do…and if my writing seems crude well, im in a hurry and i need to get my point accross. I hope someone out there can give me some encouragement that disney will not spread like wildfire into the video game industry, I know they wont I just need to hear or read some validation from another…Im not crazy by the way I just know what disney is all about and videogames are my art and It kills me to know this is happening.
