OK, I tested BOTH exlite.net and exlite.pl versions:

When I installed exlite.PL it ran just fine, connected ok, and I didn’t have any problems. No HOSTS file tampering, and no Cydoor detected.

When I installed the exlite.NET version I found that it had put entries into my HOSTS file… it blocked exlite.PL as well as cydoor.
I found that Cydoor still existed in this version too… >_>
Now I dont use my hosts file for anything, so I dont have to worry about it overriding anything… but from what I’m hearing, it overwrites the file… not just append to it… which is just rediculious.

So now its proven…

Exlite.PL DOESN’T do anything wrong… and Exlite.NET/TK not only doesn’t remove the Cydoor correctly, it blocks your access to exlite.PL ANT THE INTERNET so you can’t get the good one later if you find out… (unless you know what the hosts file is XD)

OK? are you people still confused? or do you still wanna keep bashing exlite.PL, because they are doing a good job?
If you wanna bash someone… go to exlite.NET They are the ones that didn’t Remove Cydoor… and messed with your hosts file…

maybe I use a different version (Kazaa Lite K++)… but my kazza lite hasn’t touched my HOSTS file… Its completely clean of adds and keeps all its blocks in a file called “BannedIpRanges.txt”

Any “lite” program that uses the Hosts file, is taking the easy way out… there are MUCH better ways to do it… and if it does you the hosts file, I wont trust it.

Kazaa Lite use hosts file to block a lot of ads and nobody have problem with this…

I think its pretty clear that exlite.net is the original/good one… its the first… and its the one that is pointed to in all old articals about it, on many sites…
I think that this exlite.pl one just poped up recently, trying to bask in .net’s reflected glorry. *rollseyes*

could someone that works at p2pnet please post an artical, clearly stating the truth, cause I’m sure you know…
I dont understand how this confusion got started… but its easy to clean up… an artical should do it fine.

Exlite.net is the good exeem lite, and should be the only one thats uses…

Exlite.pl is just a scammer site trying to gain some fame… but they dont work hard to remove cydoor, and they block your access to exlite.net… which is really mean… =P

that would be an idea… but this comment section is not ment for this kind of crap… and I’m pretty sure all those spam posts that are trying to pass exlite.pl off as the good one, are all being posted by one or 2 guys…

I think the best thing to do is ignor it… or just delete all the comments and post one new artical… that for once just clearly states what exlite.pl did… and states that exlite.net is and always has been the good one…
after that there may be some more spam… but if we all ignor it, it will go away…

O_o your mixed up… you have it backwards…
did you even test the installs…? when you install exlite.pl it messes up your hosts file and blocks things it shouldn’t… and cydoor is still there.

Exlite.net is the only good one!
They did it first… so its theirs… dont steal their ideas… especially not if your gonna do a crapy job…
