"A 2004 TGI survey shows that Israeli teenagers aged 12-17 doubled the time they spend surfing the Internet, compared with a previous survey in 2002," says Globes [online]. "The increase parallels a drop in time devoted to other media."
Teens spent an average of two hours and 45 minutes a day watching TV during the week in 2004, compared with three hours and fifteen minutes in 2002, says the survey, conducted in October-December 2004.
"Internet surfing time at home rose from an average of three hours and 45 minutes a week in 2002 to six hours and 22 minutes a week in 2004," says the story, adding:
"Despite the fall in time spent watching TV and reading newspapers, teenagers still showed more awareness of advertising than adults did in a survey for 2004 published last week."
