Google Map search beta
p2pnet.net News:- “Can I find, say, a pizza place using Google Maps?”
That’s one of the questions answered in the FAQ addressing Google’s new Googles Maps beta.
The answer?
“Yes, quite easily. Simply use the words ‘in’ or ‘near’ in your query from the search box on the main Maps page. For example, type in ‘pizza in san jose’ or, if you prefer Chicago-style pizza, ‘chicago pizza near san jose’. You’ll see the results plotted on a map. If you just type ‘pizza’, we’ll search for pizza places near the center of the map on the page.”
The maps search – on IE or Mac, Windows or Linux computers with the Mozilla browsers - works only in the US and Canada, at the moment.
