Thats too time consuming, I;ve been using an older version of Virtuosa that converts licensed WMA’s to MP3, takes about 25 seconds per song….hehehe

I still use a 1999 version of AudioGalaxy to rip from CD to Mp3.
Works fantastic and no sneaky restrictions or spyware.
Sometimes older IS better.

The only problem ….
REAL independents will not be allowed to play in the RIAA
subscription playground. That is what the fuss is really about.

I was recently thinking about Napster’s service, and others like it. I think everyone knew that it would only be a (short!) matter of time before subscription services were hacked. Arguments about “rental” vs. “download” models aside, I have to say, subscription models can be great for independent artists. With playlists and tracks that aren’t bound by radio rotation requirements, listeners can dig deeper into less mainstream music to find cool new bands. As a musician, I think that’s pretty cool, though I have yet to subscribe to any music services..!
