Interesting that the headline reads “iPod” but the statistic is for “iPod/MP3″ players. Not everyone wants that Apple crap, thank you very much!

There are much better devices out there than iPods… its just this is all hype that continues its popularity… and its getting to apple’s head…

My $150 PDA can do WAY more than the iPod and has loads more features.

3 Observations:

1.. obvious.. YAAY another free commercial for ipod (i’m not a hater i own one.. but seriously.. can there be any more hype?)

2.. if you consider the need which precipitates the purchase of one of these devices, you know for certain that that reflects more accurate filesharing statistics.. E.G. 22 million people over 18 engage in filesharing heavy enough to warrant ownership of a device capable of holding gigs and gigs of music at a time.

3.. give the people what they WANT (e.g. a not neutered, not drm ridden and actually capable device) and theyll be willing to pay through the nose. ($250-$600) when i last checked.
