i've ocasionally heard it on radio. his fellow brasilian musician was complaining about this case. he afirmed that the guy usually uses "burned" music at his sessions. burned doesn't really imply downloaded, i guess, it's just a back up copy. 1,8 sounds really ridiculous. what do i get for dealing with drugs, maybe it's less dangerous. just kidding. anyway, they got a DJ now and maybe now the DJs start to protest against this shit too.

Many dj's work with digital gear now. My friend knows someone who'se primary gear are twin ipods.

He probably has thousands of cd's lining his walls. Just because there are mp3's on his computer doesnt mean they came from the internet. The transformations are necessary for his trade and are probably sanctioned under contract somewhere. What a crock.

I know it does not change the legal status of this situation, but I was wondering, how many CDs do you think this DJ helped to sell by playing tracks in the club he works at? Also, is it just me, or does the $1.8 MILLION fine PLUS criminal prosecution make the FIMI case sound ridiculous? Cripes, you’d be better of getting busted for killing someone... And boy, 2000 MP3s being a "massive 'illegal' music cache". Guess I know lots of people who should be executed for having massive 'illegal' music caches...
