Hunter S. Thompson: it’s a blast
p2pnet.net News:- "The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs.”
Thus wrote the original gonzoist, Hunter S. Thompson, author of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
He recently committed suicide by shooting himself in the head at his home in Aspen, Colorado, and now his friends say, “they want to blast his cremated remains out of a cannon in a final salute to the gun-loving writer,” states the Denver Channel.
Thompson was, “long fascinated by firearms and explosives” and, “his friends say he often joked that he was cannon fodder”.

i was assigned to cover democratic convention in miami in 1972 as a young reporter for NPR. the machinations of that convention were breathtakingly tangled and i never did know what the hell was going on the whole week i was there. only after i read thompson’s piece in rolling stone did i get a glimmer of what i wasn’t seeing. he was only four years older than i, but clearly a lot more acute in his ability to size up the situation.

That quote you typed, at the end of it, it is supposed to read, “There is also a negative side.” Please update your quote.
