Welch leaves Korn for Jesus

p2pnet.net News:- Korn founding guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch has officially left the Sony rap-metal quintet, says the band’s web site.

A statement says:

"Korn has parted ways with guitarist Brian Head Welch, who has chosen the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end. Korn respects Brian’s wishes and hopes he finds the happiness he is searching for. Jonathan, Fieldy, James and David are personally closer than ever, and are currently in the studios working on their 8th record, the follow up to their highly successful Greatest Hits album. The record is due to be released this coming September.”

“Rumors had been circulating for weeks that Welch was unhappy with the direction of the band and had written a letter of resignation on February 8, according to MTV.com,” says Y!Music, going on:

“Welch allegedly listed a number of reasons for his departure, including ‘moral objections’ to the band’s music and videos.”

Last March, Y’All Want a Single had Korn rampaging through an LA record store, making a video which included banners reading, One corporation owns the 5 major video channels in the US and 98% of the bands signed to a major don’t make a profit and Two radio conglomerates control 42% of listeners. And more.

There’s spelling and there’s grammar. You need both. I can’t understand what you are trying to say at all.

  5. Reader's Write Says:

Praise God! There’s more to life than just making your mark in this place – being someone. God has created all of us for a purpose and praise God that Brian has found that purpose. Apart from Christ, we don’t find fulfillment in our lives. God has promised us eternal life. We all have the gift of eternal life – it’s a matter of choosing to open it. Brian has opened it. The road is narrow and few find it. He has found it. I pray that Brian would be grounded in God’s word, love and grace and that God wouldl use Him mightily. There is judgment for those who reject Jesus but there’s still time. God has so much for you. He WILL grant your heart’s desires once you give your heart to Him because you will want everything God wants for you. He has promised to give eternal life and life in abundance. Make the choice and live for God. It’s the least you can do since He died for your sins so you could be with Him forever…

You are around… oh… 2000 years too late. Grow up. He’s dead.

  7. Reader's Write Says:

blah blah blah. I hear the sound of sheep bleating.

  8. Reader's Write Says:

I love you man because God loves you and we’ll be praying for you. God has so much for you if you would just choose Him…

    God bless – }{

  9. Reader's Write Says:

I am ecstatic for Brian Welch!!!!!!! If there’s a way in, God always finds it!

  10. Reader's Write Says:

Do u really believe that you are so meaningless? God created you and will welcome you home….. Faith is not THAT hard!

  11. Reader's Write Says:

what is stupid is believing that a BAND is more important than allegiance to your Creator! Come on!

  12. Reader's Write Says:

Do u see the difference b/n a Christian mindset and your own? A bit negative, don’t u think?

  13. Reader's Write Says:

He was Sacrificed for you. AND, I guess u forgot, HE ROSE. Jesus(GOD) BECAME sin in the flesh on the cross and took your punishment. Yes, HE endured HELL for you.
For God so loved you that HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON so that you could be reunited with Him despite your crappy nature (which we ALL suffer from, by the way…hence, no peace on EARTH)
Open your mind to the Truth! You are loved.
All it takes is reading ONE BOOK Is that too much work for you to do for your OWN eternal bliss?
    PLEASE wake up!

  14. Reader's Write Says:

i agree, I mean, that is all well and good that he found Jesus but look how many fans he is putting down. The fact that he would even think that leaving the band because of the music would bring him closer to Jesus is …i won’t even say it because music is music and it has nothing to do with Jesus. Am i mad he left the band, your damn right i am. what a let down.

  15. Reader's Write Says:

you people are idiots, He’s just doing this to try out the brainwashed jesus market under his own terms. If there’s no money in it, he’ll be back. Remember Mase? Ohh, and what the hell does the Yall want a single song have to do with anything. Thats the most ethical song they ever put out.

It’s like your saying the riaa is jesus and going against them is sacreligious and so he’s leaving the band.

Riaa = Devil Not the other way around….

  16. Reader's Write Says:

God has a great work for Brian to do. He will help bring many people to the Lord Jesus!

I hope he becomes active in Christian Rock, but doesn’t turn away from hard rock and heavy metal. There are several good, hard Christian bands nowadays. Anyone remember “After Forever” by Black Sabbath?

  17. Reader's Write Says:

what is stupid is people being selfish because THEY wish he stayed in the band..I just met him in Israel and he is so happy with what he is doing with his life..why should anyone stay in a job they are not happy with simply because others want them to stay? He is a great guy and the other band mambers wish him happiness, so should the rest of us instead of thinking about what WE want..Korn will get another band memeber and they will continue to be great..
