IBM, Zend, team up for PHP
p2pnet.net News:- IBM and php firm Zend Technologies say together, they’ll develop the first integrated solution designed to help developers build and deploy applications and services based on the PHP Web language.
The project integrates IBM’s Cloudscape database, based on Apache Software Foundation Derby, and Zend’s open source PHP environment.
Zend Core for IBM will feature seamless integration with IBM’s Cloudscape database server and DB2 Universal Database, state the companies, who also say they’re jointly working on, “furthering PHP technology to include improved high-level database integration frameworks and enhanced PHP Web services standards”.
Netcraft says PHP accounts for more than 40% of the overall Web scripting language market.
