Sony Walkman goes Mobile
p2pnet.net News:- `Mobile Walkman` is a bit redundant, but that`s what Sony is proudly calling its new camera-cum-phone.
The Sony Ericsson W800 arrives with up to 30 hours playback time, audio playback options, a 2 megapixel digital camera, FM radio and a 512Mb Sony Memory Stick Duo.
But, says the Mobile Gazette, it`s, certainly no iPod killer.
Maybe not, but you can`t phone home with an iPod.
And although, Some music fans may be dismayed to see Sony resolutely sticking to their proprietary Memory Stick Duo, with the phone being supplied with a 512MB memory card, it still has enough storage for around 150 music tracks, or 10-12 full length CDs, Digital-Lifestyles.info points out.
That’s not bad – for a phone.
Yesterday, Nokia announced three new mobiles one of which, the Nokia 6230i, push to talk, a built-in stereo music player which supports several digital music formats, such as mp3, M4A and AAC and a has a 1.3 megapixel camera.

An oxymoron is a ‘Figure of speech with pointed conjunction of seemingly contradictory expressions’ – Oxford Dictionary.
I should probably have have said something like, ” ‘Mobile Walkman’ is tautological, but that’s nonetheless what Sony is proudly calling …”
Cheers!
