p2pnet.net News:- Cher says Warner/Chappell Music owes her more than $250,000 in unpaid royalties.
In lawsuit she filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, she alleges she hasn’t been paid song and performance royalties for the last four years, says Newsday, going on:
“The other plaintiffs include Chastity Bono, the daughter of Cher and her late husband Sonny Bono, and Christy Bono, Bono’s daughter from his first marriage.
“Other plaintiffs are Mary Bono-Baxley and her children Chianna and Cesare Bono. It was not immediately clear whether she is Rep. Mary Bono, R-Palm Springs, who married ex-minor league baseball player Glenn Baxley in 2001.”

Warner: Yeah, well, you know, we couldn’t find her, we *wanted* to pay the royalties…
I guess the artists aren’t getting any of this money the RIAA is ‘recovering’ via lawsuits.

no!!! it can’t be!! The music industry ripping off one of their artists?!?! Sure not!!
I’d advise *ALL* artists to get independant audits done of all their record sales as compared to royalty payments. I’m sure you’re all being ripped off.

Does Cherilyn Sarkisian LaPierre Bono Allman have a legal surname?
In the USA at least 2 names (in English alphabetic characters only)are required for a person’s name to be considered ‘legal’.

The real reason big music is losing money –> it actually has to start paying it’s artists.
