Apple iPhone 4 mess: up there with BP and Toyota
p2pnet view Mobiles:- Earlier today p2pnet ran an item which kicked off, “By a curious coincidence, on the same day Consumer Reports put the mockers on Apple’s iPhone 4, ‘Apple forum moderators started deleting threads’ on the subject, says Neowin.
“As the world knows, Apple has been desperately trying to avoid reports that its much-vaunted (by Apple) iPhone 4 has serious reception problems.”
But it’s worse.
A lot worse.
In fact, Apple is facing a PR mess “comparable to Toyota and British Petroleum”, says EnterpriseMobileToday, going on
“But in Apple’s case, some public relations professionals believe it’s the stonewalling that’s doing more harm to its image than any real or overblown product defects”.
” ‘They have not done an adequate job of taking care of their installed base. [Customers] are saying we have a problem and Apple keeps saying “no there is no problem.” That’s the worst way to behave in the marketplace,’ said Jack Gold, president of J.Gold Associates, a mobile market research firm.”
Will an edict soon come from On High that His Jobness will finally issue a recall?
Stay tuned.
