Apple iTunes vs UK iTunes
p2pnet.net News:- Benjamin Cohen registered ITUNES.co.uk on November 7, 2000, “as one of a series of generic domain names to forward to various parts of what was then CyberBritain’s network of websites,” he says on his Quickquid.com web page.
However, Apple accused Cohen of cyber-squatting and Britain’s Nominet Net registry today found Cohen had made an, “abusive registration” and ruled that the domain name should be transferred to Apple, says The Times.
Now Cohen is debating whether or not to take his case to the High Court, denying that he’s a ‘cyber squatter’ and claiming he properly registered the domain name a month before Apple’s application for a British trademark for iTunes, its market-leading online music store, was made public, says the story.
