New WiFi health fears
p2pnet view WiFi | P2P:- There are growing WiFi concerns in Canada, but for the moment, they’re manifested in only one place.
A school district in Ontario.
Regular p2pnet readers will remember Lakehead University. In 2006, its president, Fred Gilbert, was worried about the health impact of radio waves emitted by WiFi networks.
Now parents in 14 schools in the Barrie, Bradford, Collingwood, Orillia and Wasaga Beach areas say their kids have symptoms including memory loss, trouble concentrating, skin rashes, hyperactivity, night sweats and insomnia, says the CBC.
“The parents complain they can’t get the Simcoe County school board or anyone else to take their concerns seriously, even though the children’s symptoms all disappear on weekends when they aren’t in school”, it has Rodney Palmer of the Simcoe County Safe School Committee, saying, going on:
“These kids are getting sick at school but not at home. I’m not saying it’s because of the Wi-Fi because we don’t know yet, but I’ve pretty much eliminated every other possible source.”
The parents’ group says it’ll pay pay for wired connections if the board switches off the WiFi, Palmer said, but, “They didn’t even say no,” he says in the story. “They ignored it and … reaffirmed their position supporting Wi-Fi.
“They are culpable and … they have the gall to go on the record and say they haven’t had any doctor’s notes. Well what doctor has been schooled about the rate of microwave infections?”
Susan Clarke, a former research consultant to the Harvard School of Public Health, said WiFi technology alters fundamental physiological functioning and can cause neurological and cardiac symptoms, says the CBC.
And professor Magda Havas of Trent University in Peterborough, who studies the health effects of electromagnetic radiation, “issued an open letter to parents and boards saying she is ‘increasingly concerned’ about Wi-Fi and cellphone use at schools”, it states, adding:
“Palmer plans to find alternate schools or even home school his two children this fall if the board doesn’t agree to turn off the Wi-Fi and said other parents will likely follow suit if the symptoms return.”

“Hey look over there more pigs flying by”
I grow bored and tired of stories like this that are all in reality “strawman” peices for the mobile phone industry.
The entire head and body of most folks is covered in skin of some sort and while this can be damaged with high level ionised RF radiation its self repairing and able to take a bit of a beating thus all these stories are designed to throw you off the track of the real threat, your EYES folks, your fine optics are very susceptible to this type of RF radiation, they have virtually nil in the way of protection and yet when was the last time anyone in the mobile phone industry did a study to see what potential damage this technology could cause to these sensitive items ?
Dont hold your breath folks.

“New WiFi health fears”
So much BS with no scientific basis!
While people worry about BS they get poisoned by the oil, nuclear and chemical industry such as BP monsanto and J&J forcing on US the use of highly toxic and dangerous product such as Uranium and plutonium instead of the more eco friendly and safer one such as thorium.
It is time to destroy these corporations of toxic parasites before they kill us all.

What’s interesting is that these children are “passing out” and other effects. Kids passing out is normal?
Also what is really more interesting is that Simcoe County/Bruce county has be written about here before as well. Funny the kids didn’t have these problems before the wireless telco monopolies stepped in.

I think Tom wrote something as well
Interesting one to keep your eye on.
How has the wireless changed in the past year with these schools? The towers?

More information about the biological effects of non-ionizing radiation from wireless technology is coming out every day. Enough is not being done by cities, counties, states and the Federal Government to protect us from the potentially devastating health and environmental effects. Through the 1996 telecommunications act the telecoms are shielded from liability and oversight. Initially cell phones were released with no pre-market safety testing despite the fact the Government and the Military have known for over 50 years that radio frequency is harmful to all biological systems (inthesenewtimes dot com/2009/05/02/6458/.). Health studies were suppressed and the 4 trillion dollar a year industry was given what amounts to a license to kill.
On it’s face, the 1996 telecommunications act is unconstitutional and a cover-up. Within the fine print city governments are not allowed to consider “environmental” effects from cell towers. They should anyway! It is the moral and legal obligation of our government to protect our health and welfare? Or is it? When did this become an obsolete concept? A cell tower is a microwave weapon capable of causing cancer, genetic damage & other biological problems. Bees, bats, humans, plants and trees are all affected by RF & EMF. Communities fight to keep cell towers away from schools yet they allow the school boards to install wi fi in all of our schools thereby irradiating our kids for 6-7 hours each day. Kids go home and the genetic assault continues with DECT portable phones, cell phones, wi fi and Wii’s. A tsunami of cancers and early alzheimer’s await our kids. Young people under the age of 20 are 420% more at risk of forming brain tumors (Swedish study, Dr. Lennart Hardell) because of their soft skulls, brain size and cell turn over time. Instead of teaching “safer” cell phone use and the dangers of wireless technology our schools mindlessly rush to wireless bending to industry pressure rather than informed decision making. We teach about alcohol, tobacco, drugs and safe sex but not about “safer” cell phone use. We are in a wireless trance, scientists are panicking while young brains, ovaries and sperm burns.

I am concerned. I think menstral cycles are sensitive to the environmental conditions. I am a teacher in Simcoe and therefore exposed to this full time during the day. Something unusual began happening this year with my menstral cycles. In March my menstral cycle lasted 1 month, the result: blood transfusion, DNC and a Novasure operation. I am 5 years away from menopause, if I follow in my mom’s (grandma’s) footsteps. In addition to my difficulties, my 15 year old daughter has with regular menstral cycles stopped cycling for months. She has been cycling normally for years. Now that she is home for the summer, her cycle is back on track. None of these symptoms have ever occured in our family before. I think it may be a strong possibility that women’s cycles may be affected by wireless energy. I could be wrong. These are just possibilities that I hope the scientific community can shed some light on, because I don’t want my self or my children to be an adversely affected “guinea pigs”. I think that before schools went wireless they should have tested the idea thoroughly with the scientific community and ensured the safety of kids first. Health and safety should always be a priority over money, technology, power, politics, etc.

I am also concerned about the state of my fertility since putting WIFI into the house my cycles have stopped abruptly after a lifetime of regularity. I am 50 but both my mother and grandmothers did not start perimenopause till their late 50s. I wonder what other effects the technology is having on us all.
