“According to local fire officials, the manure had become too warm, creating too much pressure in the tank and eventually bursting a glass panel”, says the story.
“I was in the kitchen and suddenly there was no more light coming through the window”, it has one local saying.
No kidding. 
Around 30 fire officers were involved in clean-up operations.
Some houses “will have to be repainted”, adds Dutch News.

Something kinda similar happened in Taiwan (or was it Thailand?) where a sperm whale that had been found dead in the ocean was being transported to a facility for study on the back of a flatbed truck in the midday sun when the epidermis could no longer bear up to the pressure of the gasses building inside the carcass. While the truck sat stopped at a red light, the erstwhile whale ‘spolded in the middle of the downtown street sending whale bits and blood all every which way. Not quite as funny as pig shit, but definitely gross.
