SunnComm, MediaMax merger

p2pnet.net News:- As expected, MediaMax, formerly QuietTiger, is merging with SunnComm.

“Further discussions or decisions regarding the proposed merger are subject to various conditions, including further due diligence review and analysis, receipt of a satisfactory independent fairness opinion, the necessary audits of SunnComm and a condition that SunnComm refrains from distributing any of its assets to its shareholders until the merger is completed,” says a statement.

SunnComm protection technology is known for the speed with which it’s hacked.

  1. Reader's Write Says:

The DRM produced by both suncomm and first4internet take advantage of bugs at both the firmware and OS level to “hide” the cd audio session on the disks from the end user.

These bugs are now no longer legally fixable thanks to the DMCA..

Great.. now computers aren’t allowed to so much as EVOLVE. How long will it be before this comes back to bite everyone in the arse?
