“who were offering file-sharing services on the Internet, called the FILEROGUE,”

what is FILEROGUE... what are the technical specs. is it a centralized tracker? is it a decentralized kazaa-like program? I can't make a judgement as to how reasonable/unreasonable the case is based simply on the fact that it was a p2p service. It still remains to be told (at least to me) weather or not it involved active and preventable participation by the owners of Filerogue or if they were simply "providing a tool".

Either way.. i've yet to see a slowdown in japanese tunes, tv, or otherwise since i started collecting fansubs here in the states in 2001.

"36.89 million Japanese yen (close to $344,000) in total for damages on records of 19 contract artists"

be interesting to see exactly how much of that reached the 19 artists...

Japan is practically run by the Yakuza, even though they cover that up well... lol So I wonder what happens when the RIAJ tries to prosecute one of them. xD

And does all this mean that I can't download lots of Japanese music anymore? XD
