I used to get Cricket Magazine as a child and that reminds me of one poem set it contained that I have had memorized ever since I read it - unfortunately I don't remember the author but here is:

"A letter from an Uncle..."

Dear Tom, how pleasant to receive
your interesting letter;
At last, I really do believe
your spelling's getting better!
But one thing made me scratch my head
in growing consternation:
Your letter showed a total lack
of any punctuation!
I read it in bewilderment
(and breathlessly) because
You wrote from start to finish,
without a single pause!
And so I'm sending you this book
which will, I hope, explain
The subject clearly. Study it
before you write again.
I hope, therefore,
that when you do
I will not gasp for breath.
Affectionately, Uncle Bill-
and Love from Auntie Eth.

"...And The Reply from his Nephew."

Dear Uncle comma paragraph
you are extremely kind
full stop The book is great
and I am very underlined
pleased full stop I never grasped
this punctuation lark
before I read it colon
Thank you exclamation mark
Bracket as I turned each page
I could not help but laugh
hilariously dot dot dot
close bracket paragraph
And how is Auntie question mark
I hear that she has started
a home for hamsters dash
she is so tender hyphen hearted
full stop How nice it is to know
you will not blow your top
to read this letter comma
Lots of love from Tom full stop
