p2pnet.net News:- Volvo has struck a deal with Apple to showcase Scandinavian artists on iTunes.

“On March 23, Volvo will present a live music and multi-media event in Times Square to launch "nu: the sounds of new Scandinavia," it says.

Volvo’s "nu" (Swedish for "now") will feature a monthly 12-song digital compilation featuring music from emerging Scandinavian artists, “hand-picked by Volvo”. .

“Select downloads will be free and Volvo says it’ll promote "nu" by:

  • Direct mail to Volvo owners and prospective customers
  • Regional retailer promotions
  • iTunes gift certificate promotions, including test drive incentives
  • Integration into Volvo’s ongoing advertising

The company points out that starting in June, it also has iPod connectivity options coming up for its 2005 US model line, allowing iPod users to listen to their music through their Volvo audio system.

anyone who goes for this deserves exactly what they get – tracked by spy satellites.
