He talks, he dances …
p2pnet.net News:- Meet nuvo, the 15-inch, $5,450 security-cum-entertainment robot that links to your cell phone so you can see what`s happening at home via the digital camera in its head.
Nuvo can also be controlled remotely and is programmed to dance and make musical sounds.
According to ABC News, it can walk, get up and respond to voice commands such as “turn right” and also comes in a fancier $8,200 version with the same functions and a design inspired by lacquer-ware painted on its body.
Tokyo-based ZMP is planning to sell 2,300 robots, and shipments are set for late April, says the story, adding that nuvo will be sold only in Japan.
Expect to see them turning up on certain online auctions ; )

Why hello there, Bible thumper!
This has to be the dumbest comment I have ever seen. Didn’t you get the part where it was a quote from somebody else, and a computer joke as well?

“That has to be the dumbest post I have ever seen. As you can see, you sir have no clue about God the Father or the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Why are bible thumpers always the stupidist people on the block? Don’t you even know who Joseph Campell is? He wrote “The Hero with a Thousand Faces” He’s written many books about myths, gods, and the power of heros in modern and ancient literature. His book was the basis used by George Lucas for “Star Wars”.
The funny thing about gods or God, is they are all figments of your imagination. If you didn’t have any imagination (something unique to higher lifeforms, such as chimps and humans– on this planet anyway), then you wouldn’t even know what a god was. The problem with bible thumpers is they have no imagination but the ideas fed to them by people who were too ignorant thousands of years ago to know any better. They can use a computer, but they think some mystical energy powers it all. The movie “Mission to Mars” makes more sense then the bible, but that doesn’t mean I think aliens seeded the planet anymore then I think my ancient ancestors were Adam & Eve.
If you can’t look at a metaphor for what it is– an opinion and observation, then you have no business on slashdot, a website based on open-minded opinions, not closed-minded dogmatism.
The dumbest post I’ve ever seen has got to be your own. As the quote stated, you have too many rules dictated by your “God” and you have no mercy for other people’s opinions. People like you start wars based on your own intolerance that someone else may have a different belief then your own and their belief may actually hold more truth then the bible, koran or any other “book of God”
